Arona can't be deregistered I don't think but if it's a career ending injury he can obviously retire, which would be awful. If Tanginoa's coming over now I can't think of how else we can work it. You can't just get rid of overseas players unless someones going to take them off you. We've got Pauli over at Salford for a month but we've got an overseas in Sau in return for the moment. From how CC was speaking I think he genuinely wants to see Pauli succeed and says that he could be the most devastating back-rower in SL if he puts his mind to it. So he must be willing to see what Pauli can do while over there and even if he doesn't do great and comes back, he's still on our quota.
Tanginoa's one of those players that had huge wraps as a Junior, playing for the Jr Kangaroos and was going to be the next big thing at the Eels but for all his huge potential his career hasn't taken off down in the NRL like everyone thought it should through a few injuries, better players in front of him and form. Funnily in a not funny way, he had a a suspected similar injury to Arona's last season wqhen he was playing well before it coming off the bench for Manly, his ACL/MCL was thought to have gone but it proved not as serious as thought after he'd been in a boot for a few weeks and he hadn't ruptured his ACL.
He also came through at the Eels at the same time as Pauli Pauli and both were considered next big things at the time. Funny they night end up playing for the same team.
As a player, he's quick for a big guy, breaks tackles & makes big meters in the back row. He could cause some real damage running wide in SL and the style of play over here could definitely suit him and he's still only 25.
