Some good stuff in patches from Toronto, Leutele playing Championship is a joke really. The rest of their back line is pretty average though and they are reliant on being aggressive in the middle.

Liam Hood has to be pound for pound the strongest tackler in the game.

It was cute to see Jon Wilkin getting the chance to run around fantasising about being Sean O'Loughlin.

Toronto were very good today. Will be hard to beat this year. Thought our young squad did okay and performance was far off the standard required.

Their centre won’t be there for long, great player.

Liam Hood is one of the best tacklers I’ve seen in years.

I’d be surprised if any team ever in the championship has been willing to pay that for any player. They’ll get their money’s worth

After today's result, played in what was actually an "on the road" location at Newcastle, we have to assume that Toronto has got promotion into Super League for 2020 sewn up.

Once that happens we have to be hoping for a serious New York team to materialise and emulate Toronto.
