Good to see sneyd get 80 minutes under his belt. He's barely played in the last 8 or 9 months and I thought he went well overall despite missing a couple of kickable goals and not picking the right kick option at the end

I am baffled at the criticism of Sneyd, the stuff he does well there is none better. I am wondering if the shot clock had something to do with him missing in particular the penalty at 0-12? Going 3 scores down then would have been a massive blow to Rovers but not too long later it was 14-12.

It was also very handy him missing the conversion from Faraimo's try...a difficult kick but one he usually slots over.

I also thought Sneyd had a decent game.
The players who really need to step up are the ones we all had reservations about getting an extra years contract,Minichello,Manu and particularly Paea.
Radfords decision that will come back and bite him.
Our bench was also weak with no impact and will need changing for the visit of Castleford.
Jack Brown was the standout fringe front row in pre season.I know he is young and inexperienced but had much more go forward and effect in the tackle than Paea and Fash and whilst Thomo tries he is not a front row.
Can also see Langtree coming in on the bench.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Don’t think anyone’s criticised Sneyd to be fair the only real error he made was the last kick he made which he should have put in to touch. These things are to expected after such a long term out of match time with injury.
Considering his halfback partner was Washy I thought he did well at marshalling and organising. Also pleasing to see him take the line on too.
The only one who unjustly criticises him is Schofield who just talks trash to steal 5 mins of limelight

sneyd's OOC this year and I reckon wigan and saints will both make a play for him.. Quality player who saves his best for the big games. He isn;t as creative as some halfs but his kicking game is 2nd to none. I hope he stays

What made me laugh so much was the empty seats in the North stand when Rovers scored
Hundreds did a George Best and missed the
Keinhorst miracle
The anguish they have makes my year in the same way 50-0 does

I enjoyed the game, I thought for the 1st competitive game of the season it was pretty decent. Obviously I wish we'd held on at the end but overall and taking off my Black and white glasses it's a good thing for the game matches ending with that sort of excitement and drama. We seriously need to attract more spectators and viewers and that sort of ending will only give us a better chance of doing so. Let's hope we aren't on the receiving end next time.

Re: So, Friday predictions against KR? : Mon Feb 04, 2019 12:35 pm
In my opinion your best players on Friday were Houghton, Griffin (esp 2nd half), Shaul (although a bit too lateral at times) and Taylor. I don't think I even noticed Paea and Mini were even on the pitch. Manu played well but not as noticable as the others I mentioned. Motongo is very average.

However, this game really means nothing (apart from our ability to gloat), both our seasons start next week.
