The kid's selling a 62 England shirt now.

If Carter starts bidding I reckon its better to let him have it at the starting price rather than bidding against him.

Agree with Vastman...

If the seller wants to come to an agreement with Carter then fair enough but if someone else wants to bid on the shirt for perhaps there own collection then it's fair game...

I get the point but I don't think its fair. The shirts owners who I assume inherited them may have no interest in the club otherwise they would have given them to the club and thus are entitled to the highest return, as we all are. I get it but cartels are always unjust.

That isn't what I meant though.
If your reason for buying it is to keep it in the club then it is sensible to only bid once.
If someone wants it for themselves then it's an auction.

Seller has named his price. Nothing unfair about not paying more.
