Toulouse for Championship in 2017, Super League in 2021!

Avignon for Championship in 2021, Super League in 2022!

https://www.nrl.com/news/2018/10/20/roo ... s-of-2018/

After watching this, I think that if the Sydney Roosters are in close to top form for the World Club Championship, Wigan will get slaughtered. So too would any other Super League club that might have been in Wigan's position.

And remember also that in 2018 the Sydney Roosters had the number one defence in the NRL.

A fantastic side. Very well balanced with a great coach.

Cronk, Tapou, Tedesco, Mitchell, Keary and now Ryan Hall in the backs. That is a lot of fire power!!!

Just about to go do some work!

One thing I know for certain is if Wigan do manage to do it they still won't get credit for it. It will be because the Roosters "didn't take it seriously" or some variation on that theme.

That said, that is a pretty special 'footy' team.

It’s going to be unbelievably tough for us. I’m not sure I remember too many teams looking stronger on paper then this current Roosters side. We’ve a decent enough team and our outside backline looks good but the halves and packs are where games are won and lost and they kill us in both areas.

Looking at the Sydney Roosters' team for 2019, it has become even stronger than 2018, with Ryan Hall, Brett Morris and Daniel Tupou competing for 2 wing positions, and the acquisition of State or Origin rep Angus Crichton in the second row. Only serious injuries will prevent the Roosters from being the first team to win back to back titles in the NRL era.

I wish that the WCC could be competitive this year, but I don't see how it can be. The Roosters have too much class across the park.

Didn't Hall do his cruciate ligament playing for Leeds? If so then I can't see him playing much this season.

Yes, Hall did do his ACL playing for Leeds. But his recovery to match fitness is expected by May.

For someone who lives in Chorley a hotbed of rugby I know, you seem to have a grasp on all things relating to Aussie rugby, do you have relatives over there? :D

I don't live in Chorley but I do have relatives over in Australia. They work in the French consulate in Sydney and are avid rugby league fans. In any case I try to keep up with all the Australian rugby league websites, including a subscription to http://www.watchnrl.com, which is how I know so incredibly much about the NRL.
