The RFL could have done a lot worse than patenting "super league" . Every sport seems to have cashed in our description recently.

Trademark was registered in 1997 (remember this needs a graphical representation too)

I suspect the Womens Super League football will become synonymous with the term given the expansion of that sport.

Not good at all when you consider Premier League clubs are getting at least £95 million, and then up to £150 million for the clubs that are on TV more often.
