I like the idea of golden point - adds an excitement factor to the regular SL games. Though no mention of what happens if after 2 x 5 min half’s it still remains scoreless.

Not sure what the shot clock is all about.

I think there was mention that free play is no longer a rule now too.

Golden point - never! We are not Americans; too stupid to be able to comprehend the concept of a draw and always having to have a binary result.

Interchange numbers are irrelevant as players come and go for HIA's and incidents on report. The idea is ok but no idea how it can be managed.

Don't know what a shot clock is unless its something to measure the power of the shot in the tackle, ultimately pointless.

Why can't we just go back to playing Rugby League.

A ‘shot clock’, I believe, is a limited amount of time available to take for a process.
For example 90 seconds for goal kick etc.
Been trialled in golf, whereby competitors had certain amount of time for a shot. Think it was Dutch Open where I saw it .

Golden point - just not necessary (apart from cup ties /play off games).
Interchange reduction is fine but with blood bin and head assessment, we wont notice any difference (apart form more blood/head interchanges).
Shot clock - Assuming this is time to take penalties, conversions and drop outs, then, great and well overdue. However, for this to be effective, they will need to find a way of preventing the endless injuries (usually with miraculous recoveries) that accompany these parts of the game.

Apparently,

35 secs to set up scrum

30 for GLDO

100 for conversion

What the penalties are if you don't meet these criteria, who knows?

And yet nothing proposed to deal with the tackle/ruck area; another missed opportunity.

I'd happily do away with all them changes if the game got to grips with s**t obstructions called by the VR.

Bit of an over reaction on the Golden point front, I don`t see you calling the NRL stupid for it. I don`t have an issue with it, it`s not that often we see draws but in the cases we do it just adds a bit of extra excitement to the weekly rounds.
