Sadly, a week on and players are quoted in the RL press as stating that the cheques have either bounced or been cancelled.

Peter Goodchild was a superb winger for the Dons 1961-1966 he made 176 appearances scoring some spectacular individual tries in his tally of 57 tries for the Dons, Peter was also the first ever Dons player to gain representative honors by being selected to play for the Yorkshire County team,after leaving the Dons he went on to play for Halifax & Bramley

Simon Brown has joined Dewsbury Rams, who have also recruited Matt Nicholson following his release from Hunslet.
