A 9's world cup is a great idea and international 9's should be a regular thing. Its a format of the game which should be used to expand the game as it allows lower ranked nations to compete.

My only concern with this is what players will be playing in this? Will the elite players be playing.

After Sydney they should be taking this format to Hong Kong, Dubai, USA, Japan.

Maybe the RFL/Super league will actually wake up and realise we need a 9's game over here. Give me a 9's tournament instead of the current magic weekend and I would want to go to that.
