Of course he will get his agent to see if he can get a deal in the NRL. He will be trying to get the best pay day he can and if interest from the NRL pushes his salary northwards then he, and his agent, will be happy.

And what's wrong with that? He's at the end of his contract and needs to test his value on the open market. He'll have a figure he is willing to accept like any other player in that situation.

I'd like to throw my hat in with the "Marshall is undervalued" camp too. I think the fact we are so well blessed on the wings is probably the reason why. He's a top finisher, brings the ball out well (a much improved facet of his game last season) and his defensive frailties are much over emphasised. Although it is an area of his game he needs to work on they fall more into the "brain fart" category rather than any actual weakness and this can be massively improved with experience and a willingness to improve. I think he has the latter, as shown by his improvents overall last season. The former will only come with game time. As NK says, he'd walk into many teams in SL.

over the last couple of seasons, haven't really ever had 2+ to choose from due to injuries

Fantastic for us to have depth in positions, however I don't think it would be idea for the likes of Marshall to be playing on loan etc or sitting on the sidelines if 3 other wingers are all fit and playing well.

I feel in 2019/20 we might possibly see 1 of the 4 seeking pastures new.

Next year there is going to be a 9 team official reserve competition / league. That means the squad boys will have regular game time to keep fit and pressing for places without going out on loan
