A few examples, of disappointing, low key or just strange ends to great playing careers...Jamie Peacock - first retirement as a treble winner, his second following an agonising relegation.
Gary Connolly - finished with relegated Widnes.
Barrie and Terry - finished together in a lost Championship GF.
Odd rather than very disappointing, but Darren Lockyer missing a simple conversion of his own try for Australia.
I’m sure there are a lot more.
