Gareth Widdop out of the England squad against New Zealand. : Sun Sep 09, 2018 4:03 pm  

Gareth Widdop, the main play maker for England, damaged his injured shoulder again today in the "sudden death" playoff match St. George-Ilawarra against Brisbane Broncos.

Although St. George Illawarra surprised everyone in Australia and the UK by beating the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium, 48-18, Gareth Widdop's injury will require season ending surgery.

This surely means the defeat of England in its upcoming series against New Zealand.

Owing to the tragic re-injury sustained in Sunday's game, Gareth Widdop definitely will not play for England this year.
