just a question that my dad ask every time I see him and talk about wakey - is he related to a bill ashurst who used to play I presume back in 60's?

For the record BOJ he played for us in late 70s up until early 80s.

Not sure if he s related though

Really reaping the rewards of two relatively successful seasons with the building of a good squad and hanging onto the better players. It's such a shame that all the hard work done by the club is being totally undermined by slimy politicians/civil servants who offer nothing of value to the community. Anyhow there are enough threads bemoaning the LA. Great news getting Ashurst signed up. Hopefully he remains under the radar so he can be at his best for Trinity.

4 years means we either see the best of him, or we get paid handsomely. 4 years also shows how committed the players are to the club

Good luck to him, he's been fantastic and I'm sure he'll just get better and better. Certainly a potential captain in years to come
