another strong win for the lads away from home, can be tough to get the business done with such a long trip so glad we kept our good start going,

tries scored by Alcock, Fober2, Leigh, Ballard, Ratcliffe2. Leather 5 goals

solid win and with results today puts us 3rd 1 point behind south wales but a game in hand, and 2 points behind york with 2 games in hand of whom we play on monday which could put us top.

Looked to be a number of changes from the Swinton game. I expected Mayberry and Hobson who probably have knocks but looks like we can afford to rest some key men in advance of York and still do the job.

Looking forward to the Monday game now.

Living in fleetwood, i should get to games.

Looking at the squad, is that Martin Ainscough the ex SL player for Wigan and hudds? Also, a few other names I notice in John Clough, Carl Forber and Kurt Haggerty. Im sure they are all ex St Helens academy players. Always liked the look of Haggerty when I saw him for our academy.

Yes to all your queries, although i'm fairly sure ainscough never got a first team spot at wigan unless your thinking of Jamie ainscough while all the other lads you mentioned are from saints academy, haggerty looks a top player since he's arrived but pick of the bunch is clough, best player on our books by a mile.

I remember being stood on common edge road watching Blackpool Gladiators

I also remember when Blackpool Gladiators got an academy team. We were AWFUL, but we were playing Swinton Academy one day and somehow, we managed to get 4 salford academy lads playing for us and they beat swinton by themselves  Our academy was basically Blackpool Stanley under 18s lol. Best time I ever had playing rugby was for Stanley under 18s.

Im gonna get to some games this year

if you want to see lots of tries then you should come see the panthers - if you are john kear you'd probably find watching the panthers like watching paint dry though...

clough is very good, but jonny leather is the best player in the squad for sure. he is arguably the best player in the division.
