Beware Super League clubs. A quality player no question but the article shows the injury problems he's had throughout his career.
A 3 year deal then he only plays 40 games would be a nightmare for any club.
Super League clubs have, I suspect, realised that they are Rugby Clubs not Australian Offshore Pension Providers.

I like Thornley but have been more impressed with Marsh and Charnley this year.

I agree.

Stefan Marsh has always stood out for me. I think Thornley is a good player, but has been slightly over-hyped IMO, which is obviously no fault of his.

Has Carmont been announced as signing a new deal, because the rumours from where I live are that Saints have offered more than Wigan and he has asked for a week to think it over.

Hope this is not true

I'd be very surprised if Saints offered Carmont a deal. They already have seven players over the age of 30 in their probable starting 17 next year.

From what I have heard Wigan have offered Carmont a one year deal, but he wants two which Celtic may offer.

Good luck to George if he goes he has done a great job for Wigan in his time here.

Heartily second that, whatever George decides good luck to the guy he's been great for us, but I feel a 1 year deal is the best we can offer him.
