Thought that the lads were going to do it to Workington again, but it was the same old story.....loose passing, sloppy handling and barn door tackles. We did well to keep Workington out for as long as we did and to get points on the board first....maybe we needed the weather that we had when we went up to Workington, sun, hail, snow (all before half time)
Nice to see Jy-mel in action, good forward action, ploughing in and pushing himself in the tackle....if only we had forwards that did this.....the big guys should take a look at themselves and be able to see where they are going wrong. There were a couple of excellent try saving tackles and some good pick- ups from loose balls, But why oh why do we throw stupid wide passes when we are so close to the line.....a quick intercept and the oppo are off and scoring. Stop trying to be flash ans stick to simple rugby, complete sets and listen for calls. Workington were very beatable - we have proved that already this season. Thursday is going to be tough, but I know that Skolars will keep ploughing on until the end. Not looking forward to the trip up there and back, but I am looking forward to the game.....just to see the Oldham team supporting pink hair.....hoping to get some good pics....
