It was interesting, I was switching between Humberside and Merseyside, were Chisnal & Schoey we’re praising Mulhearn and Oakes, Humberside we’re doing the opposite, all opinions I suppose.

Good performance by rovers, showed some resolve which we could do with.

Its interesting that were all banging on about how good we were and all the effort we put in but Saints scored twice as many tries as us and scored more than there seasons average too, i guess after a few poor performances a bit of effort really does go a long way haha

I got some of the humberside radio in the stand & was a little peeved with them Oaks is building into a good player & should get better & also will gain confidence from the game. As for Mullhern running to be tackled as opposed to running to bust a tackle! I could see Pinkneys point but unlike last year he is having to go long minutes as we are light up front, just maybe he is pacing himself to go 80 if needed?

As long as you come off that field giving all you have, most supporters will accept that.

Thats what i said in the OP, its just interesting what we really consider acceptable.

Take 3 poor defensive tries out (Makinsons, Grace and the one were we think Walmsley is tackled so just let him carry on) and its a very close game. Just little lapses in concentration and the TOP sides will punish you.
Most will see Makinsons and Graces tries as wonder tries by the way but the defence was terrible

I listened to nearly all the commentary but missed a bit, I'm sure I then heard Gwylym say the score had moved on to 26-41, which I was surprised at as I hadn't heard a drop goal mentioned.

Was I dreaming?, did Gwylym actually say that but had it wrong? Did Saints go for a DG but miss?

He did say at the build up Sam tomkins would be a massive miss and I dont know how many time he said Laclan Cloot! Lol

Cracking try from Grace yeah, once our defence parted like the red sea haha.
And im not knocking Makinson's either, it took some scoring
