Superb entertainment and congratulations to Warrington on edging the win.

Not a complaint but I feel the golden point should maybe be scrapped for next season. What you get is essentially a drop goal contest.

A golden try I could live with but with the golden point it is a huge advantage to get the ball from the kick off. It puts you in control of events and it would be quite possible to win the game with a drop goal without the other team even getting the ball in their hands.

Imagine playing into the teeth of a strong wind and needing a golden point. The odds would be stacked against you.

But as I say, congratulations to Warrington. A very strong performance from their pack and in a game that really could have gone either way they finished the stronger.
