What I said was Orford wasn't as special in
the game the other week as people are making out. There is a list of big name, high paid aussies who come over here and never reach the heights that people expect of them. All clubs have had one or 2 and yet the fans seem to adopt the emperor having no clothes mentality with them and praise them above every one else.
Dobbo was top drawer for us last year, whether you'd want to admit it or not is another thing, and seemed a very good fit for our team. He hit the ground running scoring tries and pulling all the strings from the off and his game seems very suited to the English game.
Orford has yet to prove he can do this, yes he has the pedigree but moving comps / country is another thing.
I would have thought most Hull fans who post on here must doubt his quality anyway as he has no aussie caps and that seems all that matters.
