No, silly. You need to bore to pile, though. Have you seen any activity relating to bored piles, Darth?

If the ground at CP is clay (probable) then this method is econmical ( , Hudge) and effective and the load bearing capacity can be controlled by varying the thickness of the shaft and the stiffness of the corresponding erect member, or pile.

No digging has been done to find that piling would be needed, piling was always going to be needed on a structure this size.

The boring bit has to be done in order to fill the shafts with the piles. Obviously. I was asking if this part of the works is underway, not whether exploratory probing had taken place. It being fairly obvious that the land would have been surveyed before any plans were chalked. Em, surely?
