England Rugby Union : Sun Oct 04, 2015 9:13 am
After watching some of the the world cup not just England, why are some full time professional rugby union players fat !
Training full time should turn fat to muscle ?
How this sport is so popular throughout the world is hard to believe.
Middle class public school etc etc etc even with the help of rugby league players/coaches who go for the money.
God its boring. And yes there are the odd one or two overweight RL players but not many in the super league.

I played union at local club level for 20 years, and following retiring and due to the changes in laws, just fell out of love with it. Rugby League is a much better sport for the supporter and we can watch it at the highest level in the country in our local area. I just can't get enthused about it now, and England's demise hasn't really bothered me.

All the hype masked the lack of quality in the England pack, anyone who believed they would make it out of the pool stage were #deluded IMO.

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Frederick Douglas

Hilarious scenes.

The only things they're good at is organising picnics that you wouldn't want to go to, collaborating with Nazis and singing songs about slavery.

I love rubgy onion and golf clubs, gives me two easily avoided places that factors the amount of wankers in my life down by at least 24.75%.

Goose. Polite and advanced warnng ahead of what I hope will be an insightful post from me!!!! Sorry, that the w**ker factor in your life is just about to elevate by a Nano percentage.

So the ITV match commentator and that boring smug b*stard that is John Inverdale both comment after the predictable England loss that it was a magnificent and pulsating spectacle of a match full of scintillating rugby despite the disappointing result. Where are the men in white coats when you need them? I got more pulse and spec out of the Ronnie Pickering - who are you? video on here last week.

However, the main reason I am posting is that I have recently fallen out big time with a good mate of mine up here over our strong disagreements about the respective merits and demerits of our beloved codes of rugby. The misguided tossp*t loathes every aspect of RL and espouses Yawnion. Your post puts things into perspective for me much much more, as unlike me he is also an ardent golfer. Golf does tend to have some participants who are particularly loathsome. Spooky that.

If you became a Hull fan instead, that % would rise to 49.62 :D

Agree with what you say though.

Re: England Rugby Union : Sun Oct 04, 2015 5:38 pm
I'm more over the moon that they had the front and audacity to put a 'qualifying' (lol) match in Manchester on the same night as our Grand Final, which has been played on the same weekend in that City for the last near twenty years.

Massive fail on the behalf of the Rugby football Union. It's backfired massively for them now. What a shame!!

As one poster on the VT said. The RFL should promote the game this weekend as the only rugby game that matters in Manchester. :-).

I loathe the sport and England going out just after the tournament has begun has made a part of my weekend.
John Inverdale must be inconsolable this weekend. Lol
