Saw this lad a few times watching the Wigan reserve side last year and always thought highly of him as a player, a very good bit of business from panthers to sign him, he certainly adds a bit of cover for fullback and wing especially if leather is unfit for this week, (saw him take a knock on sunday) so we are not struggling as much to replace him, also raey can cover centre and wing. Very good signing IMO.

I don't really see where he fits in the team though. The back 4 are pretty much set and unmovable at the mo.

Perhaps he is for next season and to cover for royle when his loan period ends

I think he's cover for royle after his loan period too, however I also think he is cover for Leather after he picked up a fairly serious knock on sunday.

They can look all they want, but he's a contracted Panthers player so it'll be transfer fee time if they want to do anything.

I though Widnes had been in for Leather earlier this year and he rejected them, though the chance to play in SL might be too much for him, which is understandable...

We'll be playing Salford in the Championship in 2012 at the Willows anyway if they don't move fast with the alleged new stadium.

Hope so anyway cos I like my trips to the Willows via the ale pubs in Manchester/Salford :D

He played at stand off against Rochdale, don't see that as a permanent thing but just shows his versatility. Not sure what it says about MC's view of Jay Duffy though when joke Svabic and a winger are getting picked ahead of him..?

Has Sam been playing well? And also what position has he been playing? His attack and go forward is superb although his defence was shown up a few times whilst at Leigh.

Dislike Leigh with a passion, but they are a million miles ahead of any other club in this league, a sad fact.
