Attention turns back to the Challenge Cup with Championship side Batley Bulldogs the visitors to the Keepmoat Stadium in a 5th round tie.

With no dual registration players used in the Challenge Cup so far and the likelihood of the same being true on Sunday, positive news on the injury situation at the Club would be most welcome.

Jordan Howden and Keiran Cross left the field with injuries yesterday although it is thought that the former will be fit to face the Bulldogs. The injury to Cross however must be of significant concern.

Matty Beharrell, Jordan Cox, Ryan Dixon and Richard Owen have all picked up injuries in recent weeks leaving Richard Horne a little short on numbers.

Recent signing Stefanos Bastas must surely be in line for another outing.

Previous Round:
Featherstone Lions 6 Doncaster 46
Batley Bulldogs 62 Lock Lane (Castleford) 6

Tickets - Adults £15 (Early bird price £12)
Concessions 60+ & 17-21 £11 (Early bird price £10)

I've been trying to put a team together for this game. Unless some injured players come back, or we have some on DR, we may be struggling to get 17 men out there.

Some or all of the following may not be fit: Cox, Dixon, Owen, Beharrell, Cross, England, Mariano. Not sure about Brandan Wilkinson, is he still fit or is he injured again?

Full Back: Buchanan if Hull will let him play otherwise Sam Doherty (presuming Owen is out)
Wing: Chrimes
Wing: Doherty (if not at full back)
Centre: Tali
Centre: Bower
Halves: Hedges and Howden (Beharrell if fit)
Props: Boyle, Douglas, Spiers, Scott
Hooker: Kes
Second Row: Bastas and Townsend
Loose: Hedges (if Beharrell is fit) or Wilkinson (if fit)
Subs: Ogden and Foster

If Sam Doherty does play at full-back, and no one returns to fitness, we haven't got another back to play on the wing.

If Beharrell and Howden are fit we could possibly play Jordie Hedges at full-back to allow Sam Doherty to play on the wing.

Has anyone got any more injury news updates, or thoughts on what else we might do? Have I missed anyone out? Is Registe still at the club?

Here's the Free Press article on Liam: https://www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk/news/doncaster-rlfc-liam-welham-leaves-to-join-keighley-cougars-1-9674946

We believe that fell through but nothing has been confirmed that I'm aware of.

I probably should have added a little more to my previous post. I was suggesting that he could be an option for RH this weekend. The move to Keighley is off.

Patterson-Lund is a loose (has also played second row and halves)

Not a lot of half back options in that squad
