Watching Lovodua’s highlights again on FC live from when he signed and they are all of him playing hooker and looking a quality one at that so what the hell are the club playing at?

It’s time to say goodbye to Houghton and have Lovodua and Dwyer as our 9s next season.

Maybe the rumour of Lovodua not wanting to play 9 are true? Saying that before all the injuries he was spelling Houghton earlier on the season and it worked, but then he was used to cover other positions because of the injuries. But unless he’s staying to play 9 then I would query whether he’s worth a quota spot

Can't remember the last time we signed a player from Leeds before this season. Now we've had Walker, Sutcliffe and probably Dwyer

Think the club have realised that to get the best out of the younger, quicker pivots we’ve signed, we need a nine who can jump out and make quick yards. Dwyer is probably the best available at this time.

I personally wouldn’t keep Lovodua. I suspect we have though. All I can think is he’ll be cheaper than Will Smith, but I know who I’d keep out the two.

Think the succession plan will be Houghton / Dwyer in 2023, then Balmforth / Dwyer after that.

Dwyer was my MOM on sky on Friday, although I think they gave it to Gannon. Whatever his failings, he's a dynamic hooker that offers something we don't currently have. I'd prefer it if he was younger, but on the current market - Dwyer is a decent signing and is the sort of hooker that can capitilise on quick play of the balls more than almost any other hooker in the league. I think he'll be well liked at Hull as he's a 100% effort player.

Sutcliffe I find it hard to disagree with you. He's not awful, he's just not good enough to justify keeping a young lad out of the team. I don't like filling a team full of average versatile players, as it works comepletely against the youth progression blueprint we're supposedly following. He was virtually anonymous in the same game that Dwyer shone.

Please tell us who would be available and the level of signing we should be looking at?

They are arguably an improvement on what we have but as usual you focus on criticising than any positives.

You keep banging on about pace being important in the modern game. Which it is.

Dwyer is quicker than Houghton? Hoy is quicker than Connor?

We are building and making gradual improvements but again you focus on criticising than any positives?

Fair enough it’s your opinion. But your opinion is to always criticise?

I asked him this week he ignored it.

We have signed 4 players in much needed positions who are young and have had good season, all very creative too.

Not sold on Dywer but the type of player we need and he would have gone to Saints if Roby had not stayed.

Still probably 2 to come, personally pretty happy with recruitment and hard to see other SL clubs signing better in the positions we have signed.

Quite happy with the signings made so far.

Happy with the players released too, I feel despite restraints Hodgson is slowly piecing it together.

We should look a far more creative pacey team next season, that will keep opposition teams guessing alot more.

My only concern is the current squads brittle mentality, where capitulate during pressure or if a certain players missing.

I think Hodgson needs to further be ruthless in moving a couple more on with brittle mentalities, but they are under contract apart from Houghton.

I think it's time we thanked Danny for his services.

Maybe have to go back to Jay Pitts before that?

Carvell and Raynor weren’t bad pick ups

Although Aunty Kaff giving up us signing Chris McKenna and Ali
Lauittiti so Gary could sign them didn’t work out quite as well
