He might be our best player but nobody is the bigger than the club and would rather have players who are 100% committed than someone with an attitude problem.

Who are we on about here

When has he said any of that?

"I'm absolutely buzzing to get my contract finalised," Connor said. "It was an absolute no-brainer for me; the club has treated me well since day one and I'm really glad to get it sorted, and I'm looking forward to cracking on.

"It was an easy decision to sign. It never got to a stage where I wanted to look elsewhere, I always wanted to stay here and didn't really speak to anyone else. I've been here for five seasons now and wanted to extend that longer.

"Everyone wants to get to a Grand Final and we're no different still, and I feel like we've got the squad to do that over the next few years and we can continue to improve."

I'm more optimistic then pessimistic with the squad build.

I feel with the additions, retentions and exits that it's starting to look challenging; assuming luck with injuries. But every fan of every SL club convinces themselves the same.

I like the spine of the team. Hoy, Connor and Yrueman. As good as any 1, 6 and 7 in SL.

The pack is lacking in depth. Statistically speaking you are always carrying injuries in the pack, so loss of Sao, Satae or Savelio is felt. We need a signature pack addition.

We absolutely need a 9. I'm happy to retain Houghton for a year, as long as he is the one that spells the starting 9.

Seen enough of DB in Hookem in lower-string to know they are better starting options in the absence of a new addition.

P.S Sutcliffe, for me, is a quality signing. Drip his utility value and focus him a centre.

Club prioritising a forward next, guess its someone to replace Manu in the 2nd row.

Walker deal put on ice apparently, until the mystery forward is sorted.

Maybe this kills my Longstaff dream too

In all fairness, I don’t see the point in posting a link to an interview 1 year old. Canberra came knocking, we don’t know the reason for their eventual disinterest? I’ve watched Jakes response to going behind, he hates it, he wants to win but as has been mentioned, if he’s stated he wants away because he wants to win trophies, he’s not going to with FC, that’s the realistic view.
There’s only 2 real comps, the play offs to the Grand Final and The Cup and there’s at least 6 clubs with a better chance at winning them than us.

I just asked for a link to show where Connor states that he doesn't really want to stay and admits that he can't see himself winning trophies at Hull.

It doesn't seem that the link you asked for will be appearing any time soon. Just maybe, it doesn't really exist.

Said the other week in here about Balmforth's fitness, but he's got massive potential and with a good pre season he will be sharing hooking duties with Danny next sesason, think it will be Mints and Tag's last season next year with another year in Laidlaw, Brown and I'd like to see us get another prop in ready for when Tag goes.

I also don't see where Lover fits in if he isn't hooking as I'd rather see Ligi 13. Lover waste of an overseas spot IMO
