Unless Griffin moves to SR I'd like to see someone brought in.

A strike centre would be high up on my list, or a wide running back row.

I hope Griffin isn't seen as the replacement for Ma'u. As a SR he's a big step down so hope we've got a proper replacement lined up

Giving an almost 33 year old in Kenny Edwards a 3 year deal looks like another Radford masterstroke.

We should be offering Shaul out to clubs too. Try and get out of that last year

I think this is the likely scenario. Club will tell him you are not going to play next season unless we get injuries and his contract will not be extended so he'll look for a 2 year deal elsewhere.

He's only 30 a good player and won't be short of offers.

Might like a bit of organisation, but not sure we have that this year,,certainly looks much better on paper than our current 1, 6 and 7.
That's not saying much is it though.

Obviously, I hope it works if it is true but I don't like the balance of the spine if we go with Jake, Hoy & Trueman. It would either mean moving Jake from 1 which would be ridiculous given how good he is there or playing Hoy at 6 a position he has played a handful of times in 1st grade. Also, Trueman has always had Gale and McShane to do the game management for him and even O'Brien seems to be doing that role ahead of him this season, he has never struck me as somebody who wants to be 'The Man'.

Pretty much how I see it. And the way we seem to demand a scapegoat in the spine, one of those 3 is going to get absolutely destroyed by the fans next season.

That's a good assessment. It does seem unbalanced. I can see the reason for Jake moving to 6 because of his lack of pace despite how much else he contributes from there. Replace him with a speedy 1, but I would compliment the spine with a 7 who can manage the game. Don't think that's what Trueman can do?

The Hoy rumours may well be..... rumours. There's probably other options we're exploring.

Not happy about this apparent get-out clause for Hoy if an NRL club comes in. That would leave us in the lurch.

Yep, no decent offers from the NRL so play well and get paid well for one season in the reserve grades (SL) put myself in the shop window get a good offer and go back home.

Cynical but with the difference in the salary cap probably true.

Personally think Sao wouldn't be a bad option for SR as his work rate is fantastic, good defence and isn't a plodder when on the move. That said Mau is quality so would need to replace him with another of similar quality. By the sounds of it the club want to bring in younger players and sadly Mau is not deemed young enough to get a 2 yr deal which for me is the sensible way to go by the club.

Radford signing Edwards at 33 next season for another 3 years is an example of the type of deals that didn't help us at all.

As for Hoy I just wonder if he'll come predominantly as a FB or HB, I think Connor would excel in the halfs if given a free roaming role but then we'd need an organising half to compliment Connor in that role and not sure Truman is that type of player or has it in him to be the organiser on the field.
