Why does everyone assume we’re paying Reynolds off in full. Most contracts will have a clause whereas one side can renege on such if it is deemed the other party is not seen to be fulfilling the contract. Hence why there are negotiations going on. I believe a more pressing issue is Ben McNamara and why we’ve looked to sign another young half.

Competition for places?

4 young halfbacks fighting for 2 places, plus injuries like Ben has now is probably the reason.

Benjamin Julian would be a good signing for us, he Is out of contract and they have Mcmeeken, Whiteley and possible Ma'u in the backrow, plus a couple of young French backrowers.

Im sure we have been linked with him before.

Because we have paid his contract up , silly money as well . That’s why I’d have kept him and make him earn it . It’s all done and sorted already .

If we have paid his contract up in full why did we need to have talks with his management?

I’d have thought Reynolds still had to agree with it .lump sum might not be beneficial to him or other players at the said time … so that’s maybe why talks was needed .

I'd like him too. Athletic and consistent too, fits into a BH mould of player.

Hopefully we're just waiting on some paperwork clearance before announcing his replacement
