Think we need some sort of positive news. I know it’s been massively difficult post covid, but there’s a negative feel about the place at the moment.
We seem to be doing great work in the community, but the on field performances are what are most visible.

I’m struggling to maintain interest in the game generally if I’m being honest.

Know exactly what you mean IH.

I no longer subscribe to all the sky sports channels and therefore don’t watch other super league games.
Don’t miss it.

Decided I would just support the club I love but even that loyalty is being tested when I see players getting picked who can’t be bothered.

Also currently have no interest in attending any games of the forthcoming World Cup and can’t see that changing.

Was Hodgson on a three year deal?
Be interesting to see what happens next year if so
Didn’t AP think the BH would end up in Rugby Union eventually?

I think myself that's possibly one of the most telling posts this week. Many won't agree I'm sure however, if you Speak to any of the folks from 'the empty seats' who have retained their season tickets out of loyalty but who either pick their games or don't go at all at present, and there are quite a few around, then there is a lot of apathy around. People on here will possibly decry their absence and question their status as fans at all but when you scratch away the lingering covid concerns of the older generation, there is a definite lack of interest in the game itself and the way it is going, which is impacted with an inertia about the feeling that seems to surround our club at present. There is a negative feel around the place and the lack of any sort of hope for a team without Connor, (and with our current halves) plus a lack of information on signings or indeed re-signings and apartment inaction impacts a feeling of general negativity and apathy that doesn't help at all.

Not playing at home for a month doesn't help either.
Re: Hodgson : Thu Jun 16, 2022 9:15 am
See our captain is on holiday now going off his social media, Hodgson's 'working progress' with the halves must be taking place somewhere on the Spanish coast.

When we do hear from AP, it’s usually a cry for help as well regarding the Stadium and the issues there.
I know it’s a huge issue, but what with that , and Hull CC virtually gifting The Dobbins a stadium, it adds to the feeling of malaise and negativity.
The games in difficult times generally, and we’re still to see the full impact of the cost of living crisis. Normal hard working people will maybe have to make choices over where their money goes, and social events might be down on the list of priorities.

No news is good news for me on the stadium front as we currently are. I have more faith in the new owners then the previous regime and I think we will eventually get some form of help from them and the council.

The one thing I do find disappointing with Hull is the fact they don't offer 'half season' tickets for the remainder of the season. We must be one of the few clubs in Super League who don't have them. Most tend to do an offer of 6 games for the price of 4, or something along those lines. Its a win win for both the club and the supporters.

Must admit, I’m taking the no news is good news attitude, in regards of the Stadium.

No accountability or responsibility for the poor performances and disappointing that they are not taking advantage of the time to continue the 'work in progress' as so far they have produced very little. Another example for me of the club not being as professional as it should or could be and more a cozy and soft club.
Yes I know players are entitled to a break etc but come on this guy so far has missed half the games played and just not delivered anything so far.

Never thought in all my years of following and supporting the club I'd lose interest in it or the game itself but honestly I'm finding it harder to get myself to games these days as its feeling more and more like a slog rather than enjoyment.

Couldn't agree more to be honest.

The reality of the 3 halves of rugby without Connor points towards us being a one man team. If the captain of the club (who has missed nearly two months in total through suspension this season already) would rather spend his time on holiday then being on the training pitch working hard to resolve our attacking problems, then why should we bother? 100% players are entitled to breaks, but as you say, there is zero accountability.

Its a rollercoaster supporting this club. The win against Wigan feels like a lifetime ago.
