I’ve said this before but I honestly think that ‘tackle’ at Fev was the turning point.

I remember seeing that at the time and wincing. Didn't the ref just pass it off as an "early tackle"? Did it even get Shaul a penalty (or was it a penalty, but no other sanction?) As a contrast, just imagine if that tackle had happened in the first few games of this season!

Jamie has been a brilliant player for the club and secured the 2016 win at Wembley, which is to this day the greatest day of my life, every Hull fan will be forever grateful for the memories he's provided for us all.

BUT, this is the nature of sport, players come and go. And unfortunately for him, taking into consideration his salary, it would be right for us to let him go come the end of the season. He isn't going to get ahead of Connor at FB, and I don't see him as a hooker nor a winger. It would be a shame for him to spend the rest of his career playing in the reserves on a much lower contract, he deserves more than that.

It's a salary cap sport. We can't keep everyone and if we've got kids that can do a job then we have to let players go to free up cap space so we can sign massive props to squash the opposition.

I'm intrigued

I think we l let Mau and Reynolds go.
Where would we use the 2 quota spots?
Do we move Lane to second row and bring in a loose forward.
Do we keep Lane at loose forward and bring in a second row.
Do we keep Gale
Do we sign an overseas half back to replace Gale.

Taking into account most think we've signed Trueman to replace Reynolds

Options options with some good cap to play around with

To early to make decisions but so what here we go!

1 Connor
2 Mcintosh
3 Tuimavave
4 Griffin
5 Swift
6 Trueman?
7 Gale (As long as he plays a decent number of games)
8 Satae
9 ?
10 Sao
11 ?
12 Savelio
13 Lane

14 Evans
15 Taylor
16 Lovodua
17 Cator

Big decision about Houghton.

Gale is an interesting one. He obviously needs to deliver quickly, but sounds like Hodgson is concerned he'll overdo it - said this earlier in the week: “He’s excited. The important thing for Luke is to not play the game too many times in his head before he gets to it.

“Five weeks out has been a long time for him and he wants to contribute to our performance as well as everyone so he needs to make sure he’s ready to go on Thursday and not today.”

I honestly think Lovodua offers way too much energy and work rate to be left on the bench has to be our starting Hooker eventually.

Would love to see a ball playing 13 to compliment Cator when he's back, someone like Tyrone Peachey

I still think Griffin will end up in the pack.

Had alot of potentially good centres in Wynne, Mitch, Scott, Walker and Ferreira.

That could be an option to replace Ma'u.

I also prefer Lane out wide than through the middle, suits his running game, his best game this year was Salford when he was playing wide.

I'd forgotten about Ferreira. Anyone know how he's doing at London? I can't find their match reports so I don't even know if he's playing.

We should be making a play for Jack Broadbent if he can't agree a deal with Leeds
