Given the lack of other options right now and his age I am happy enough with that, but he is another one who's displays are too inconsistent. Like several others he was missing in action all summer.
He started of like a house on fire. Last couple of months went of the boil. Hodgson did mention some where playing carry injuries. Does make me wonder if he was one? Overall happy though with the signing

To be honest I don’t think he was the same after the Tony Clubb incident as his form just seem to drop off from that point.

He was actually very good in the Saints semi, scored a hat trick at Leigh, and I think he played in the excellent defensive win at Headingley, and away at Cas, he got a hamstring injury which kept him out, plus a suspension I think, whilst I concede his form did drop late in the season, the whole team could have also been accused of that. But you know what they say about form being temporary Chris.
I’ll put my hand up regarding the annoyance of slow news from the club, but on the other hand, slow or not, we’ve secured Connor, Andre, Cator, and Griffin, signed a new nine, and have hopefully added a bit of pace with Darnell, I’m really hoping Ligi and Mau are next on the list, if so when you consider the actual hopelessness we all felt at the end of this season, AP has to be commended on his tenacity to kick on again.
For me one of the most important issues is to get Tag fit, we miss him fully firing so much.
If he is used correctly, I think he gives Hull that ball playing forward that Westerman was. I honestly don't think we could have signed better from the pool of available players and he is capable of being the difference, in tight games, when he's "on it". I hope we get another consistent prop in , with , hopefully Sao to extend his stay and then the pack looks strong. I still think we need a bit of luck with injuries, the first choice spine is great but the problems start when any of them are missing, especially Connor. I like the way Hodgson is quietly going about the business of reshaping the squad, although I agree the PR does leave a lot to be desired, hopefully expectation will be realistic for once and we may even exceed what many people think.

That is broadly how I feel. From the doom and gloom of predicted financial blackholes, the disappointing way in which we dropped off playing, ongoing stadium issues it is easy to be despondent. I fully expected us to cut the playing roster down massively, sell Connor and allow the likes of Satae and others to follow Radford, so to have what looks like a play-off team in the making is hugely encouraging. Keeping that spine fit will go a long way to achieving that, which is obvious I know, but the way in which covid disrupted the season, not just for us, left me just not as bothered as I have been in past years and I think that feeling may have permeated right through the club, which is not an excuse but has to be considered. We have a skinny squad, that if healthy, is way better than we performed last season. I hope we go under the radar, free from external expectation and quietly surprise.
Really don't understand your club? One minute your Chaiman and you lot come out and say the players ain't good enough and players will be leaving, Now you re signing the same rubbish?
