A Gentle Reminder re Posting Subjects : Sun Jul 04, 2021 9:09 am
Morning all, hope you are all well.

Can I just remind everyone that this is a HULL FC forum, not a Hull KR, or any other club for that matter, forum. Nor is it the place to discuss the whys and wherefores regarding Covid or any other non rugby related subject.

Sorry if I'm coming across harsh, it's just that I'm the only active Mod on here, work full time, run and actually have a life, so I really don't have the time to trawl through pages and pages of non FC related stuff that can often just turn into a b*tch fest.

The Sin Bin is around to discuss Non Rugby topics like Covid, and the VT or individual club boards are available to discuss other clubs.

Thank you for your understanding.

Karen

Seen in last week's League Express : Thu Dec 08, 2022 3:50 pm
In last week's League Express there was a letter from me about how the mental health of some players may suffer when they retire from playing the game or when referees retire from refereeing the game or just when supporters grow old. My suggestion to try and stop this happening is to spend time writing a novel based on your own life, family, and family history, work, home town and your rugby league connections and involvement.
Many who I have said this to said that it seemed to be a good idea but that they would not know how to even start writing such a novel. For the benefit of such people I have now written three pages of advice.
I am in a good position to do this because since starting writing as a hobby in 1988 while working full time as an electrical draughtsman for the CEGB, I have now written around half a million words in six novels in a series that runs between 1962 and 2008. If you would like me to send you these three sheets, then contact me at wgeofflee@gmail.com. and ask me to send you Geoff's RL Writing Notes.
However you may prefer to read one of my novels first or give one as a Christmas present to a relative or friend. To do that, visit London League Publications at http://www.llpshop.co.uk. Click on Books and then Fiction. Details of four of my novels are there and I would suggest that you start with "Three Good Years" which is set between 2006 and 2008 with a background of work, family life, saving the NHS and Rugby League.

Visit //www.geofflee.net for details of my novels 'One Winter', 'One Spring', 'One Summer' 'One Autumn' 'Two Seasons'. and "Three Good Years" All six feature Rugby League against a humourous Lancashire/Yorkshire background and are inspired by the old saying about work: "They could write a book about this place. It would be a best seller."
