Still think we’ll sell Jones to pay for it. Think Salford would rather have the money than the player. We also save on his wages, as well as Kelly.
Matty Head as well is too good to be true!

Maybe AP is giving the club the reboot it needs in the hope people renew.
Interesting times.

If we could offload Taylor, Houghton and Shaul it would be a genuine re-start.

Matty Head DID contact Hull earlier this year but hasn't heard anything back, in fact he's just been appointed Junior Pathways coach of the Dragon's Academy under their new head coach Anthony Griffin.

He still loves Hull (and supports City) and may end up here one day, maybe not yet though.

Watson did say he has a frustration because he has to reset every year, and can’t build.
Pearson will hopefully give him that opportunity. AP has a reputation for being trigger happy, but the evidence suggests otherwise.
In fact you could say he was too loyal to Radford.

The appointment would certainly galvanise the supporters, more than any player signing.
Players come and go, but a good coach that gets it right here has a huge club on their hands.

I think Watson would be a good appointment and he has shown he is a good Coach and man manager at Salford. He has taken a team that has continually lost key players suffered upheaval in the off season and even during the seasons and still managed to turn Salford into real competitors, again evidenced by the recent GF & CC Final appearance.
Whilst some may feel an Australian coach would have been better I don't think Watsons credentials can be dismissed, he has proven he has ability to coach and should certainly be capable of turning the current squad into a much better team in terms of unity, attack and defensive structures etc.

The only prerequisite I would have would be that he has to relocate to Hull so he is in and around the City and club full time.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Watson would be for first choice out of any realistic coaches we could appoint.

I don't think it will happen though, as I'm not sure he would move to Hull, think he might wait for a Wigan or Warrington job and I'm not sure Pearson will pay a fee.

Been reading some Salford fans comments though, such as a sidwwards move and wouldn't want to work under Pearson, both absolute rubbish. Pearson would be a great boss to work for, fully backed Radford with money and loyalty, Hull are a much bigger club than Saldird and he would have much more chance of winning something at Hull than Salford with the resources.

I've also read he would have to rebuild the club, again I don't think that's true, our squad isnt far off and with a new coach and a couple of signings he could get us challenging.

I hope it happens, as he wont be able to take Salford much further particularly with them losing key players each year.

Why would we offload Taylor, still our best prop, the other two I could maybe understand, but maybe a new coach could bring the best of of the other two, particularly Houghyon, whom has been much improved playing under Last and rotating.

I agree, Houghton looks better being on a rotation

Watson will be a fantastic appointment. His record at Salford speaks for itself.

I'm not sure what this says about him as a person though if he can sell his Salford dream to players then walk away mid contract.
