Nice one . Just shows we’re looking all over for players, Noticed the email address mentions mark jones. I presume that’s just because it’s a common welsh name, and it’s not our former player?
I thought exactly the same - no idea if it's coincidence!

Mark Jones, if he’s the same, I remember his debut at the Boulevard in the A team, He was a giant compared to the other lads, then he got the ball and made a sensational long break, wow I thought.
Sadly through injuries and form he never seemed to hit the expectations promised, believe he was around the same era when we had another good lad Brian Carney
It’s great Hull are looking in the valleys again, and considering the power of Union a very good bit of business, hopefully another good Welsh lad.

According to this article the ex Hull player Mark Jones relocated to the Middle East a few years back.
Jones made a bit of RL history by becoming the first player to come on as a blood bin substitution, replacing Steve McNamara in the Charity Shield against Wigan at Gateshead in August 1991 - his Hull debut.

Probably his biggest rugby league claim to fame!

About 5 years between Jones leaving and Carney arriving with Gateshead
Lee Crooks will have coached this lad in the Welsh youth set up. Danny Wilson was the coach of the England team that the Welsh under 16s played against. Theres your link I guess.
all this talk of half backs - i think our problems start in the forwards. Throughout history successful FC teams have always had a big tough pack with plenty of go forward and hitting hard in defence. i don't remotely see that with our current team
halves need a platform and a screen to play behind, they don't get that with the current team, we are on the back foot too much
