Correct, it was just a rumour made up by his agent when London told him they would not be offering him a deal.

However his brother seems to be saying differently to Radders and David Hughes so we need to take his word for it :lol:

Catalans Dragons have announced the “coup” signing of Australian playmaker James Maloney.

The 33-year-old half-back, who played a key role in New South Wales’ recent State of Origin success, will join the French Super League club on a three-year contract from the 2020 season

Phil Gould was saying he was coming to SL on last weeks "Six tackles with Gus" podcast.

He is such a great signing. Just wish we could have got him but even if we'd the cap space and money he always preferred the South of France to North of England. Can't say I blame him.

Going from Matty Smith or Samisoni Langi to Maloney as your halfback has got to be the biggest upgrade in quality I can remember in recent years.
