James Cunningham has improvement in him, he has done very well at London in difficult circumstances, he’s also had a measure of success in the halves.

He is a little dynamo with a little bit of pace, but a need to up his defence before possibly being linked as a stand in or replacement for Danny, then again I’m struggling to think who could do this job, Danny is almost irreplaceable.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Question is what do we need or what are we looking for regarding hooker?

For me currently no one will shift Danny from the No.9 spot for the next couple of seasons. So we are not needing a like for like replacement currently. However we need to be able to spell him in games or rest him so need adequate cover.
Litten for me was ideal for that role but he wants more chance to play 1st team rugby regularly and you have to respect that. However it leaves us short at 9 should anything happen to DH.
We aren't going to sign a top class hooker just as cover so Cunningham would make sense both ability and salary cap wise.

How do people rate Jordan Webster?

He played for England back in spring and has looked okay in the reserves.

I can’t recall seeing him in the couple of reserves games I’ve been, think Jez may have been playing in one of them.

Unless you mean the academy.

He's average in my opinion, but you're the man who doesn't rate Griffin whose been our standout larker all season.

Keep up
I said i dont rate Griffin as a centre but always said he would make a good second row.
Radford obviously agrees with me because thats where he will play next season and if Kelly is fit then i expect he will also line up in the second row for most of this season.

Not bagging him by any stretch.
Always seemed a steady Eddie type to me.
Probably do a job if a game was wrapped up but think Fash would show a bit more dynamism interjecting with Houghton as has been mooted.

Fash more dynamic than Cunningham?
Must be strong stuff you drink my man

Thats the problem Chris.Unless Houghton is Injured any replacement is never going to get a look in for several seasons thats why although i rate Cunningham he would be wasting his prime years here.
Its a pity because he is skilful and fast and would be perfect running the ball behind what should be a big powerful pack next season.
The same goes for Litten who if playing here next season would have excelled with his running game behind a big protective pack.
The idea of playing Fash as a hooker is just as ridiculous as keeping Washbrook next season as hooking cover.
For me when necessary it would be better to use jamie Shaul in that role and play Connor Wynne at full back.
We need speed at acting half back next season not a plodder, you only have to look at HKR since Parcell came and the difference he has made.
