The Rhino ball had been kicked into touch and replaced by Steeden.

The Rhino balls design and material meant that it would retain water and moisture on the surface far more than the Steeden ball, resulting in knock-on-athon's during really humid weather games, or downpours.

No excuse for the players now, they put the blame on the ball - so 90% completion rates all round this season

I remember the cup game away at Catalans in 2013 when we won against the odds (23-14 I think) and that game was awful for unforced errors. At the time the ball was called out then. Have they been using the same type of ball since?

…. yes, the contract with Rhino has only recently ended.
