I think you are confusing Super League with some online fantasy league.

I think if we offload the players mentioned, as well as a couple more squad players if needs be, would compensate for the likes of BMM fifita etc providing one of them is signed via marquee status

Do we think getting rid of 3 or 4 players will change the attitude we've seen in the wakey and wire games? That's not down to ability, it's down to attitude and it's across the team, not 3 or 4 individuals. Definitely something going on behind the scenes and maybe rumours of a split in the camp are true

I'm not saying it'll change the attitude. Pearson suggested substantial changes in personnel and I'm simply stating what my ideal scenario would be regarding player movement

It’s ok saying bin 6 players off and bring 6 in but some of the players mentioned are under contract so you have to pay them off assuming they will leave which isn’t a given if they are sat on a nice fat contract

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

Re: In's and out's : Sun Sep 02, 2018 6:03 pm
Pearson said if needs be they'll be dual-reg'd, the difficult bit is finding replacements, some people seem to think they grow on trees.

It's like saying Watts wasn't replaced, by who???????

This is it absolutely

Getting beat by 70 points isn’t down to 3 or 4 players
It’s down to the attitude of the whole squad

After reading Pearson's comments I for one am more excited than I have been in a long time regarding FC moving forward. It's gone from having no recruitment for next year (which has been so obvious that we need) to bringing in fresh faces. It has been so frustrating that we continue to play as if we have the biggest pack in the league whereas really this is far from the case.

Because of Radford's reluctance to play any different to battering it through the middle I feel that we really need to add some serious size to the pack. I personally don't think are backs are bad at all, they have been given no favours from our forwards and it's annoying that we have no structure, depth and set moves in attack to hit the outside.

I would love a player like Fifita to come in, as well as someone like Murdoch-Masila, however this seems too unrealistic. It is also blindingly obvious that we need a new face in the coaching team to set up attacking plays. My dream scenario would be;

Out:
Paea - personally don't think he makes much impact
Talanoa - free up a large amount of cap space (I assume). Miloudi was playing well for us when he slotted in, I think he could do a job on the wing
Manu - I think he's been a brilliant player for us however he will be on a big salary and we could use that up for a big impact player
Green - too often injured
Abdul - wants to leave so let him
Mini - again brilliant servant for us however doesn't offer what he used to

In:
Fifita
Murdoch-Masila
Jones

Attacking coach

It may seem a bit extreme with all the departures I've suggested however Pearson has said he's making big changes and they would free up a lot of cap space. What would your ideal action be regarding in's and out's?

Which Fifita do you mean?

If you mean Wakefield’s David then you’re miles out. Wakefield won’t let him go and due to certain issues they have a lot of leverage in his case.

However that’s not my main issue - I simply can’t think of a player less suited to a club like yours. Dave is a great lad and a real joker and that fits well at Wakey where he’s a big fish in a smaller pond. You only see his big games but sometimes he simply doesn’t turn up.

His team mate cover for him as he does for them because that’s how it works at Wakefield. I can’t see that happening at a club that’s bound to have more players with big egos.

I may be wrong but I don’t see Dave thriving at a more high pressure club like Hull - it just doesn’t suit him imo. Remember whilst Andrew was ripping up the NRL David had to come to Wakefield and drink in the last chance saloon.

It was kismet really, Dave might look like Andrew but he isn’t.

If it’s Andrew you want go for it.

If a player is duel registered do they become exempt from your salary cap? I genuinely don't know the answer.
