Clearly intellect is not your strong point.
And yes trying watching the game without your blinkers on you will see it in a different light.

| Quote Bombed Out="Bombed Out"Oh come on what a lame reply that is, let's not start blaming the refs for our lack of discipline. Rules are rules and our players should know not what they can and can't do.
The stupid laying on, the lifting of legs, stripping of balls. If we didn't stupidly do these things then the ref wouldn't be in a position to use his own interpretation.
So no they are penalties because they are penalties.
You get the drift.....'"
But they're not unless the ref says so. How many times are teams (not just us) pulled up for a non-offence and yet minutes later a blatant incident is ignored. No wonder refs are held in such low esteem. Don't respond with "they're only human" as their decisions can seriously affect the result of a game and yet in most cases they don't suffer the consequences of their decisions.

I think it's the frustration when we get penalised and then the opppsitiom do the same thing and goes unpunished.

We could have had six referees on the pitch yesterday and still been blown away.
indiscipline, poor defence some poor kicks from Sneyd,no dummy runners in attack and people blame the referee.

Just making a simple observation about referees. Shame you only see it as indiscipline.
And thanks for the insult, by the way.

Have I said referee was responsible for our display. I was pointing out their deficiencies. We were to blame for the result but consistent decision making would make us all a little less critical.

| The stats make grim reading
12 errors
14 pens conceded
47 missed tackles
Some poor efforts defensively from the likes of Mini, Watts and Taylor
4 pens conceded from Manu
Usually poor go forward from the likes of Thompson (nearly every week he is bottom of average gain)

I suspect the fans of most clubs feel hard done to by the ref from time to time. I think that's probably because refs get it wrong from time to time, but in a largely unbiased manner. They are human and they will make mistakes. I try to believe that over the course of a season it evens itself out and hope that not too many games are lost due to the ref.

| If it was one ref, then I would understand, but our discipline has been shocking all season. 6 players sinbinned numous bans. My biggest concern about us this season and unless it improves it's going to be a tough season

| When Melbourne Storm played Cronulla
in their home play off game last season they had the following completion rate for the whole game
34 of 36 sets completed
Do you know how far away we are from that sort of completion ability ???

| Was it three times we gave away penalties whilst we had the ball and if so what was it for? I was in south east corner so couldnt really see what was going on with any of them and everyone else seemed baffled around us too

| Quote Irregular Hoops="Irregular Hoops"The balance of the team doesn't look right. I think losing our winger was a big blow as we had to play our interchange hooker there.
I know Pritchard wasn't value for money, but he added impact and gave teams something to think about. We just don't have any impact off the bench.
Thompson is ineffective for me and I'd rather see Hadley on the bench and Thompson out on loan.
I feel as though I've spent the last 160 minutes in games just watching the oppositions attacking moves. I've not seen my own team play anything other than catch up panicky rugby for 20 minutes after each half time.
We had players back this week as well. Not panic stations yet, but conceding 100+ points in two home games is something I wouldn't have imagined last season.'"
We can't have a Pritchard because we are over the cap AND the owner is not interested in a marquee player because we "only just broke even last year"...Radford's own words in an interview a few weeks ago regarding the increase.
He may have had an impact on a couple of occasions but not often enough and he put pressure on the other forwards due to his inability to do more than 10-15 m minute stints in some games and even then due to the tactic of using him in the wrong position was ineffective.
We will not have an impact/marquee player next year either unless the owner decides the risk is worth it financially.
