Please put forward some nominations for the wing positions. As there are 2 positions to fill we will put 8 nominees together and you can vote for 2, once voting starts in a week or so. Not going to single out left and right wing positions as some wingers are able to swap positions, and indeed quite a few have done this over the course of their careers (same will apply to the centres).

This thread should dig up some very strong contenders. Fire away

Ivor Watts is certainly worth a mention, a mainstay of the great team we had in the 50's.

He played for Hull for 15 years, then was on the coaching staff for 10 years and ended up head coach for a further season (I know this doesn't count towards him being our best winger, just a bit more info).

i find this bruce ryan character interesting - sounds like he was a superstar of his time. he would be box office in today's game as well

For his overall record Tinga would have to be in there. Sully is a no brainer. Then you've got the likes of Paul Prendeville and Alf Macklin who for just the pleasure of watching players with character would have to be on my list. Paul Eastwood had a great scoring record for us , could kick as well and did it at the top level on the international scene for a short while too.
