I have to say that the clubs with aussie coaches have an advantage in picking up the best (an often most under rated) players from down under, mainly due, I'm sure, to their contacts. That's 2 NZ internationals signed up by SL clubs in 2 days. Maybe the credit crunch is starting to bite in oz.

Why on earth would we need overseas recruitment when we have a fantastic acadamy and all of those local starlets ???? Do you never listen to JR ?? Our squad is full of local kids of real quality !!!

I agree with that entirely. While the two players signed are not in positions that are our current top priority, they are the quality of player that we should be signing when we fill those positions.
