We can't be worse but we'll be nowhere near the levels you rose tinted specs boys seem to think we'll be at

Like who?

I've not seen anyone going over the top with predictions for next year, think 99% of us know where we are.

Like anyone who predicts we'll be above 10th.

Nitpicking maybe because I agree we could do with more quality in the backline 100% but is Chamberlain really that slow? Unless I’m mistaking him for someone else a couple of years ago played on the wing for Salford? and I’m sure I saw him score interceptions and long range try’s. Don’t think he’s slow at all and despite his age Hardaker can still play at a decent level. Think at some point we’ll switch around with Moy given a go at fullback and put Rapana in the centres anyways who might have a bit more creativity there but especially with Martin and Barron don’t think the backline is as slow as being made out.

So we have 4 players in their mid 30's in the backing, a young kid with barely any SL experience, Abdul with questionable fitness and temperament and the comps slowest, most average centre. What could possibly go wrong?

Even worse, when one of those gets injured we have only cust to come in who could be classed as an experienced player. Very worrying.

At least we must have a big chunk of salary cap available looking at that squad

I’m not too concerned it’s a squad for mid table and to develop youth. That said a prop would be a handy addition we can raid Salford?

The 1-17 is okay. Still a couple of weak areas to stop us making the playoffs (unless we get really lucky with injuries or other teams just don't perform) but good enough to potentially get us around 8th, maybe 7th, if we can keep a settled team.
And while after the first 17 it is all young lads, after how some of them played last year I will have a lot more confidence next season if say Cartwright gets injured then Staveley can come in and do a job, or Rapana out then we still have an exciting player in Moy to come in. There's a decent amount of Super League games now between those youngsters and as long as they don't all have to get thrown in at once again then I think they will all prove their value as squad players next season.

You don't think we can finish above Cas, Wakey and Hudds, I feel we have better squads than all three of them. Add in the off field appointments I see no reason we can't finish 9th.

Leigh and Salford could ho either way too.

I think we can if we have a perfect season with injuries and suspensions, but with so many older players that won't happen. Realistically I think 10th is probably where we will end up.

Half the people on here had us pushing the play offs last year whe we signed Pele and okunbor

8th/9th should be the aim. Try and be the best of the rest. We'd need a crazy good season to get in the play offs.

Think the top 3 will be Wigan, Rovers and Wire again.

Us, Hudds, Cas and Wakey bottom 4.

Leaving Saints, Catalans, Leeds, Salford and Leigh for the other spots.

If Catalans don't make the top 4 with their squad, McNamara could be in trouble.
