The games is boring. Since maguire came over to wigan it seems that every team just wants to push the rules to the maximum and gain every advantage they can. Constant tactics to slow down the ptb, constant offsides from defenders, play acting, players throwing their arms in the air at the slightest thing. The game is strangling itself. Watching nrl is like watching a different game. Well refereed, players playing rather than trying to cheat. What we really need is strong governance to deal with the issues which kill the game as a spectacle. I can barely be bothered to watch games now theyre so dull.

Add in the ridiculous sending offs and s8n winnings, random penalties from the match review panel and there's no wonder the game is on its ass

Agreed, especially the last bit.

After each game/round, the talking points are cards, refereeing decisions and then Mondays suspensions. See more highlights of penalties/cards than actually rugby. Game are decided by referee calls more than ever.

Season lasts too long, pretty much every team hampered by mass injuries and HIAs coupled with suspensions.
Totally agree with JTP - The game is now dull

Too much wrestle in the tackle, same cut out pass set plays, five drives and a kick.

It's a hard watch at times, and sometimes I can't be bothered to watch the game that's on.

Watching NRL is like watching a different sport.
I agree its not as good as nrl,but still far superior to garbage like, football, boxing and formula 1,3 boring sports i avoid like the plague.
Too many loop games is a long term problem for me. Like regardless if we are in form or not is anyone really excited by playing Leeds a 3rd time?

Two leagues of 14 teams the way forward for me. League1 is currently a joke with 9 teams and 6th place team making the playoffs.

In what millennium would a rugby league club start to make profit after shelling out what’s likely to be somewhere in the region of £50 million to build that type of stadium from scratch? As said before the St Helens stadium cost £25 million 15 years ago. We have no existing ground or land to sell and the council would have no interest in building a ground as they already built a bigger better ground for us to play in.

Also I’m not sure it works that they’d be no overheads if we owned the stadium, quite the opposite.

We'd have been sorted if them crooked Tory scumbags had given us the 60 million for a new stadium instead of just p!ssing it up the wall at Scampton.
Oh well...........

Lets face it they hide behind the RFL and IMG but in the end its the owners who call the shots and in the current state of the game where not a single club is making anything like a profit they are hardly likely to forego over a 6th of their Sky money to fund an extra two teams in Super league. Although you're right if you are to have no relegation it has to be 14 teams. Indeed if they re-introduced relegation it has never worked with 12 teams and again 14 would be best.

Hudgel, sewell and lakin own it and the land around it don't they?

Funded by those sin winnings no doubt.

Gotta love a sin win
Grix on Lane.

He has been our player
He should be in the England squad or will be soon
He has missed about 3 tackles all season.

granted he has had a better season, but all three of those are nonsense, worries me he will still be here next year.

Lanes had an okay season, he'll not get anywhere near the England squad and he probably missed 3 tackles in our last match. I genuinely think Grix is losing it, if he hasn't already.
