Maybe suffers from 'Ryan Hampshire syndrome'. A half-decent player in multiple positions but hasn't quite nailed being great in one position.

I like Walker… but he clearly doesn’t fit in the clubs plans… so he has to do what’s best for him…

Not sure I would have chose Keighley but it’s not my choice.

[quote="Trojan Horse"]I think if we win another 2 games I’d be happy for Poching to stay another season. We won 9 last season and are sat on 7. I feel we have been unlucky spending most of the season without Tupou and TJ along with Kershaw missing TJ nearly all season. Think we’ve been a tad unlucky on that front again.

There will be some space coming up no doubt with what I suspect:

TJ
Tupou
Pitts
Adebiyi
Arona
Walker
Tanivalu
Fifita
Batchelor
Miller
Evans

I believe the contract for Croft expires this season. I personally don’t think he is SL standard but who knows.

To be honest I feel a bit for Croft.

He made a good debut, and had a few good games right at the start of his career.

He then went out on loan, and did his ACL.

Maybe a mixture of the two has set him back somewhat.

I'd be tempted to keep hold of, but not break the bank, or extend too long

Always a bit of a gamble with youngsters

Isn't this what what's really happened with Batchelor who tailed off then suddenly came good again.

Batch is on fire at the moment (notwithstanding the injury he picked up last week), he's been playing the house down and when fit, would be one of the first names on the team sheet.
Players all develop art different rates and the big thing for our youngsters is that they been coming into a side really struggling for for, which makes it difficult to make much impact.
I did think that Walker was here for the long term but, only he and the club know what the short-mid term offered for him but, he will want to be playing and not watching from the stands.

Walker is decent footballer but I do think this season we've spent far too much effort on squad players or development players. Walker is I suspect only ever going to be a squad player at wakefield and along with minns, evans, devenatru butler largely been ineffective. hope it goes well for him as not playing and not being on loan hasn't done him any favours

Not sure with Walker, talented ball handler but not yet had that defining game that shouts out 'definite keep' Not had a lot of game time and may come back to haunt us, who knows, but either way good luck Brad, you've done us proud.

Because sadly he's not quite good enough.

If he were what some think, he'd have got a gig with another SL club, it's that simple.

I was a fan a few years back, but since then I can't say he's ever really impressed, not even in the reserves.

I think it's simple really. Not big enough to be a forward, not fast enough to be a HB.

Where as IMHO Hampshire had real value as a utility player I'm not sure Walker does. Hampshire could turn a game from numerous positions and I think we have missed him a little. He's not the superstar of a certain posters dream but he had his moments. Don't think Walker has which is why Rocky is at Cas and Walker isn't.

That said I'd be delighted if he proves us wrong, I feel that for most who leave, just rarely happens.

I hear this a lot but they never do come back and haunt us, hopefully not with Keighley or we are in bother. Why? Because the coaches generally know what they are doing where players are concerned.
