Re: Hull on Friday : Mon Aug 15, 2022 8:47 am
For the first time in ages, we will go into Fridays game as favourites, which will be a whole "new" experience.
If we can back up the Wigan performance, we are certainly capable of picking up another 2 points but, this is Wakefield and we haven't been great at stringing 2 decent games together (not even 1 sometimes), although v Saints and v Cas, we did pretty well in consecutive weeks.
Yesterday will have taken plenty of juice out of the players and Batch was on crutches at the end so, maybe some changes coming for Friday.

We have certainly improved since Shaul came and it would be great to see him run out against his "old" / parent club.

A win will just about put us safe all though nothing is certain so, one game at a time and keep chalking up some W's.

I want to target 10th after the 2 Hull games.
Warrington aren't going to keep winning. They have quite a hard run in.

Technically 8th is mathematically possible!!

Steady on with 8th PT but, I love your optimism.
Certainly 10th should be a target but, as the old adage goes, one game at a time !

Shaun was signed by Wakefield to the end of the season so they can’t recall him, not sure about his availability on Friday but he definitely won’t be playing for the hull side.

As it was for remainder of season and hull were keen to ship him on think there’s a reasonable chance he will be playing

Unless the deal specifically states there’s no recall option, which there is no evidence there is, then the could recall him should they wish to. I doubt they will but i imagine it is possible. I’d be surprised if they let him play against them though this week either way.

I see it like this. Tolouse will beat Catalan and also beat saints as they will be most likely play against the saints under 13's knowing that lot. Wigan will beat them on Friday i am sure. That means we may have to trust Hull to beat them. Dont think we can afford to do that so one more win is a must.

Saints may well not rest anybody as the Disciplinary has done a great job for them in that respect so far this nseason.

Got to be targeting a win from either of the Hull FC/KR games.

After yesterday, I'd say win both....

Jake Conner will be a massive loss to Hull this Fri , thought the the tide turned when he went off in our last outing against them , when he has his head screwed on he’s a nightmare to defend against with that cutout pass ,Kane Evans also sitting this one out on the naughty boys step .Don’t like the favourite tag at all but one last rousing performance and a Wigan win and it’s two fingers up to the powers that be and hopefully our recruiting begins in earnest .

Bet365 has Hull FC down as slight favourites. Trinity are getting 2 start …
Still slight underdogs, just how we like it!
