Without the ground redevelopment it’s highly likely within the next 2 years we wouldn’t be in SL anymore. Therefore the crowds would have dwindled anyway. Our club has probably exceeded by a country mile, the Super league management patience on the redevelopment promises, and I’m pretty sure IMG will introduce licensing in the near future with stadium facilities a key factor, so it really is the case of now or never on the ground redevelopment.

Woosh, straight over your head. I'll spell it out , forget the ground, without a competitive team on the pitch it means absolutely Jack all. Do you honestly think people will pay at least £25 a pop to sit in a nice new stand and to witness 90 mins of dross. You need both and its no good waiting for the ground to be developed if we dont have a team worthy of playing in it.

Calm down dear, it’s all a matter of opinion.

What comes first the chicken or the egg? I can see where some fans will get annoyed when they turn up expecting 90 minutes of dross and find they're only getting 80 minutes.

Mr Carter's build it and they will come is laughable, but typical of the way he runs HIS CLUB. His clubs stagnating but if it survives SL, supporters can expect more of the same.
He's saved his club only to run it in to the ground, what's the point.
Surely now would be the time to concider even a small change of direction and offer the fans some hope.
He couldn't care less about the supporters and by offering more of the same proves the point,
I can see the headlines now with a picture of Mr Carter sat in his directors seat in his new stand wondering were all the supporters went only to be replaced by a weekly mother and baby session in the new facility.

In the current economic climate, and what the country/world has gone through and is going through, I feel that MC et al have done, and are doing, a good job.

I get all the frustration about our situation, but other than borrowing huge sums of money and saddling us with debt again, what is the change of direction you have in mind?

It's an easy thing to spout on an Internet forum when there are no consequences in real life, however I feel the promotion of the club is almost non-existent. There is nothing to actively encourage support beyond social media, and even then it's stating a date/time and a picture saying something bland like 'game day', in otherworlds preaching to the converted. Without a Ken Davy type to bankroll the club or cover what otherwise would be losses, increasing support is the only way we will get out of this groudhog day. Success is as far off as it ever has been so we need to find ideas to increase support irrespective of silverware. Not an easy task but that's why some money has to be spent on in the field to generate said interest. Fundamentally there is a reluctance to do this with the current leadership.

what about this instead of making cheap short term signings make a statement by resigning james batchelor who for me has been probably are stand out, most consistant player this season. To let him leave the club is scandalous he consistantly out performs are imports who no doubt will be higher paid. Then when turn up to watch at least we will be treated to 80 mins of effort which as a fan iv'e always enjoyed, as historically we've never had the money for a team full of quality just a few here and there. But we've always had team who worked for each other unlike this lot who it appears to have a dig one game then back to brain farts the next.

Have you considered it's both ways what if Batch turned down a contract offer, wanted to try another environment or signs for more money elsewhere?

I must say your choice of an example lets your argument down, You mention Ken Davy, it's an open secret he has and still does bankroll the club, but what lets your theory down is where are all their supporters, good ground with good facilities, good links to the ground by road and rail, good parking, cheap ST, up to the salary cap limit with recruitment what else could they're supporters want ?, they still get less than a decent crowd despite healthy away support and have to include ST holders to boost their attendance figures whether they attend or not, and you want to compare our club with theirs.
