I’ve known Jacks dad since we were young teenagers, he’s a strong proud family man but this is a test that no parent should have to face.

Very sad. Wasn’t sure when first told but just wanted to make people aware and by doing so emphasise no names at that point. It’s easy-to get carried away when you hear stuff like this even though no harm meant.

Personally don’t know the family but acts of stupidity like this have been happening forever.

You can blame who you want but in truth it’s just in some people.

One of the most likeable and loveable lads you could ever meet in your life. Survived Afghanistan and had his life cut short by a complete monster at his own engagement do. No family should ever have to deal with such a despicable act. Rip Jack you were a top lad x

It’s hard to see through the anger and the rage and find words of comfort in situations like this… there are none

I just hope the supportive actions of friends, family and community make some difference… my own kids are in this age bracket… I cannot imagine, cannot comprehend, the pain!

All I can offer is quiet contemplation and gentle thoughts… it’s not enough… I know but it’s there all the same.
