He is under contract just like Tanginoa therefore no club can talk to either or their representatives without our permission. If either left at the end of the season we would be entitled to a transfer fee however we are suppose to no longer be a selling club.

Don't you think that if the perceived bigger clubs come sniffing around for those two players that they're heads would not be turned, if it is the case and they want away then that would make the clubs position untenable and in the interest of all parties would result in having to sell them, and anybody thinking that would make us a selling club would be wide of the mark or looking for an excuse to blame the club.

Hmm that's a good point. Maybe Wells or whoever is trying to unsettle him.

If you read the article that it comes from all Wells basically says is he wouldn’t be surprised to see Wigan looking at Lino as a replacement for TL.

He also says he wouldn’t be surprised to see them looking at TJ.

This was something he said weeks ago that is only bring rehashed by a poorly run platform desperate to break a story.

He didn’t say they were looking at them he was just simply speculating under the assumption TL would be retiring (I think he will play on) and Bevan French returning home.

The comments were made not long after TL picked up his injury and before Smith started playing very well for Wigan probably securing the 7 shirt.

It’s s classic 2 + 2 = 5 with no substance in it at all other than a pundit making the comment during a Sky broadcast.
Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.

What’s that foggy, if a club either directly or indirectly contacts the player or representative then they are in breach of RL rules and can be fined. If they leave then they do so because we have allowed them to do so and when was the last time we did that.
If some members of the forum who no longer attend games were to buy season tickets that would help matters. I have not been able to go but purchased a season ticket and I am sure it is the same for a diehard like you.

Maybe it’s true and we’re preparing for the drop.

Lino to Wigan
TJ to Catalan
Numerous off contact players.

We. Are. DOOMED!

I'm not disagreeing with you regarding the illegalities of approaching contracted players, what I am alluding to and I'm not saying it has happened is that if a player/s wants to leave unless the club has proof of any wrong doings and [if I might just point out, we were find for trying to tap up Jason Robinson, can you honestly tell me that we are the only club ever to break that rule?] then it's very difficult to keep unhappy players, therefore the best option to the club is to get rid before it undermines the morale of the other players, all things being equal that in my opinion does not make us a selling club.
Seeing as you brought the matter up, I have been a die hard as you call it at Belle Vue since 1958 and the last season ticket I bought was for the 2020 season, and yes although it's the first time I've had to mention it I too refused any reimbursement like most others, and just for the record I am far from a well man myself but have managed to attend all the home games this season as I'm sure others have too, and just for the record I'll put up your quote where you told us about buying your season ticket and I said you'd mention it again, well done that's the third time since then.

I do not blame any player who want to improve and move to what are perceived more ambitious. It is up to Wakefield to make it attractive to stay and considered a club to be associated with just like we did. I regret that certainly over the last few seasons this is not the case. I don’t blame TJ because why waste his talents trying to avoid relegation and playing in a team that has not progressed.

Correct - he's contracted.

"May 1 marked the first day of the transfer window in Super League. This means clubs can now speak to players who are off-contract for the 2023 campaign for a potential move."
