Re: Mr Carter : Thu May 26, 2022 7:11 pm
Try and keep off here these days but this is an interesting thread and I would like to make a couple of points.
Firstly, the temporary seating infront of the boxes. I certainly know Ted looked into doing this and there were numerous problems and it was a non runner. There was much concern over the safety aspect . The main issue was drinks and glasses falling on spectators from the people on the balcony. You would most likely also do something about the wooden fence as the first two rows would be sat right behind it and their view severly restricted. Once thats removed you would surely need some other protection. Could planning also be required, Not sure but I would think so. So although this seems an easy option on the face of it, it may be complicted to achieve to satisfy HS and planning.

Secondly, as far as funding is concerned , I agree mechanisms are in place and legal documents signed by all parties. However there is one slight problem, not one penny has been paid by Yorkcourt as yet and neither will it be paid till Mackie decides. If he so wishes he can sit back and do nothing for as long as he wants and there is not a thing the club or the council can do to make him 'press the button' to go.

Finally, lets not forget the outstanding loan to buy the ground. The payment holiday is well on its way to ending. The financial burden of that could easily tip the club into bankruptsy on a championsip financial turnover.

All worrying stuff and with so much at stake, i honestly believe relegation is not an option, we must stay up at all costs

Just like any other line of work what an employee tells their boss and what they tell others are often two different things.

1 - If that's where the seating is going, then any issues must have been overcome.

2 - How do you know no money has come from Yorkcourt? Wasn't the document signed on Trinity TV the one that sealed that?

3 - What payment holiday? Carter has, at previous fan events, stated quite clearly that every single mortgage payment has been made on time and in full. I think on one occasion it was a dig at Salford who don't pay their full rent, but seem to manage to sign top players.

Believe what you want.
But here is one simple clue. The ground was bought on a loan from WMDC. All repayments were suspended for a maximum of 5 years. Nothing has to be repaid till then unless the stand is completed before that dates. if so that triggers the repayements.

The rest of what you assume is also wrong, Like I said I dont come on here anymore because of ....... well you work it ,you seem to have the answers.

Where does this information come from?

Happy to believe you if you can actually provide some evidence.

Well, I’ve just got back from the Friday lunch, and MC + JM attended due to attending a office meeting with Redevelopment partners at 2pm, and stepping in Q&A, giving Lino some time off. Obviously transfer questions came up, MC explained he couldn’t announce who was leaving because the 3 players haven’t to him they are leaving. Tom has been offered a good deal by Catalans, and was offered an improved deal by Trinity, if he plays in 20 games, apparently he’s only averaging 10 games a season the past 3 seasons.(I’m sure I heard that right), Batchelor has been offered a deal elsewhere, but not officially told Trinity he’s leaving. Miller has been offered a deal elsewhere, but told MC he likes it at Trinity and would like to stay, therefore Trinity are trying to raise the extra revenue to keep him. None of those 3 players have officially told Trinity they are leaving, therefore MC can’t announce they are leaving.q
He has faith in WP, and backs him particularly in giving the youngsters a chance, particularly Murphy, after the horrendous debut v Leeds,
Temporary seating in front of hospitality boxes, for East Standers, with priority given to season ticket holders, not an ideal position but the ground layout makes things awkward.
Admits recruitment required particularly a vociferous leader but financial considerations will limit recruitment. Explained funding start of season was half a million down, due mainly sky cuts.
He doesn’t believe players are not trying their best on the field, giving hundred percent in training. He believes we are not getting any luck on game day, giving the v Leeds game, Bentley should have been given red, that would have been a game changer. He doesn’t believe referees are corrupt (if he did, then he’d walk away from the sport), but he thinks some referees are just inexperienced, he named about 5 refs who he felt we could win a game, the others, he felt less confident.
A question about the games restructuring, ie SL1 & SL2. He couldn’t confirm anything because nothings been finalised. The IMG group will have complete control of the restructuring, and basically what they say goes. He did say that he believes if this doesn’t work, then the game as we know it, is finished,
MC & JM spoke for well over an hour, so I’ve missed out a few things, but I do know these two people have our clubs best interest at heart. We are fortunate to have them.

If he thinks there aren’t any players not giving their best he’s clearly got his back turned at match days.
