Hearing that we flew out to France on morning of match[don't know whether true or not] but if so, players must have been up very early Sunday morning.
T.O. apparently pay for all away teams flights so why didn't Trinity fly out on Saturday morning, book into hotel for one night and give the players 24 hour to get some short acclimatisation to temperature [high 20s apparently] some relaxation and a good nights rest before the game.
We are supposed to be a professional top flight club, If this was a money saving exercise by Trinity, it as backfired spectacularly. This result against TO could cost us come the end of the season

I get what your saying about timescales ,but they have hardly done a shift down the pit before hopping on the plane ,these are to all intents and purposes pampered athletes who just have to turn up in the right frame of mind and bust a nut for 80 mins ,it’s not much to ask for in the big scheme of things ,then chill for another week ,with latte’s been the order of the day interspersed with some gym work . The writing was on the wall for this lot when they nearly mutinied after Smith tried getting a grip with the lacklustre holiday camp style ,that you and me know as Belle Vue . This lot wouldn't get into a Wigan or saints second team let alone a first team because their attitude stinks . The likes of Reece lynne who still has 3 years left have given up trying imo and walks around the field like he’s on a Sunday stroll , he’s one of our seniors and should be leading by example and giving them a kick up the arris . All we ask if for them to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in and play with some heart and spirit ,it doesn’t take a genius to see that’s not happening. I hope they put more effort in on Friday against another struggling team and prove to everyone they are worth our hard earned money supporting them. Even I who witnessed some shockers over the years is feeling despondent and resentful that this current crop of Trinity players just don’t seem interested in playing for our club .

Did not go to the match so can't comment on it, but irrespective of the manner in which we conceded the tries and to be fair we've let worse in than those, we lost the game because for once Lino did not have his kicking boots on, made far worse by how desperate we was to win this game, just my perspective that's all.

IMO We lost the game due to our shocking goal line defence it wasn’t because Lino didn’t bring his boots ,no one man was to blame for that abysmal performance . I have rarely seen such apathy in a defensive set even in the amateur game . Simply not good enough .

Not sure what’s happened to Lyn but he seems so out of form it’s unreal. When he got beat by a pass yesterday he just stood while Jowitt motored to overtake him and another player to at least attempt to make a tackle. Lyn looks to me like he’s lost a yard of pace too. He’s a strong bloke and he’s a current international. I was expecting a lot more from him.

Yesterday I thought Fifita, Whitbread, Hall and Murphy were really good and didn’t deserve to be on the loosing side. Our forwards got the better of Toulouse yesterday and we had a mountain of field position. Just couldn’t do much with it yet again and the attitude and application in defence was poor on our line.

I only watched it via a telephone live stream but thought that the game went when we did the non move on the last tackle, literally anything would have been better than what we did. Then they went length of the field (with our assistance as usual) and scored

Our forwards did seem to dominate for long stretches and it really exposed how ineffective our playmakers are - if liam finn had been playing we would have won

PS big thank you to the guy that streamed his phone !!

At least by what your saying there is hope going forwards Trojan , at least they all weren’t still on the plane , my comments on lynne weren’t meant to pick him out ,but just to state that these elder statesmen should step up to the plate when the going gets tough and can and should make a difference, but as you say it’s hard to be competitive when half the team are trying alongside lots of passengers.

I didn't see the game, but I've read a few comments saying the forwards did more than enough, but yet just a few weeks ago virtually everybody was saying they weren't up to it, but 1-7 we were fine?! Go back right to the start, I think the forwards did ok against Hull, even Catalans away, both games we were right in it at half-time when you look at the scoreline. The last 2 we were winning at half time, but all 4 of those we ended up losing, same old story really? Those last 7 games of last season under Poching we win 5, with the likes of Arundel playing, and others who people were saying, these kind of players need to be moved on, if we are to progress?! I really haven't got a clue anymore as to why we don't win more games, as simple as it sounds, I don't know if it's ability for some of them, attitude, coaching, fitness, or they simply aren't mentally tough enough for the week in week out slog of it all.......

No complaints at Max when he's trying to tackle players and others are just stood watching within arms reach.
And for one he ran past 2 players to attempt a tackle.
And also put the pass in for one of the tries.

AND no one was screaming for us to sign their fb when he was on loan with us.

Come on, seriously?! I totally agree that it's criminal that others are just watching, but surely at some point Max should hook his leg, and do a Cumberland throw, anything, even if he's penalised it's better than conceding a try? It looked terrible.

I'm sure your right, you could argue that we've lost every game this season because of our shocking goal line defence, insert any team you want that we've lost to this season except that Toulouse are our main rivals that's what hurts the most, I was not blaming Lino directly for missing the kicks but as I said just trying to put a bit of perspective on the game, it's what it is.

I personally feel we need a clearout and a recruitment of players who want to play for Trinity. Sorry but I don't see that at the moment.
I'll take nothing away fro Toulouse, seems they wanted is more than us - but I'm sick to the back teeth of us fighting for survival - sometimes it makes you think, what the hell let's just go to a level we probably deserve -the championship.

What do you class as a clearout?! Hampshire, Senior, Arundel, Green, 2 Woods all played in the final game of last season when we put 40 on Hull, and they played in the last few games, they've all gone, and 8 have been brought in. Who would you have retained? For me just Hampshire, yet we are no better off, at least up to press anyway.
