Be extremely surprised if Dave has a case to answer. Though 10 minutes was harsh during the game. He flung his arm out but barely made any contact if at all. Silly but usually the ref would just give a player a ticking off for that and consider turning over possession with a penalty. Handbags at Best Buy appeared Fifita wasn’t happy with the tackle. .
I didn't even think it was a s bad as handbags at 20 paces, be shocked if anything comes of it, hood appeared to hit the guy late off the ball, suspect in the league it could be match - but as this was a friendly how does it work and if they did get a game would oldham which is already arranged count ?

Donaldson got a 2 game ban for the same offence. I don't think he misses any SL games though as friendlies count towards his ban. It must have been late as I don't think anyone actually saw it, either that or it didn't happen.
In relation to Hood thought he was disappointing made a few poor decisions when moving the ball from the ruck. Think it was in the second half we made a break down the left and the Fev right side defence ran across to cover and made the tackle. Next play was the last tackle and he went down the short side despite there being masses of space with little cover on the right. Probably a 6/7 against 3/4. I appreciate he may have got a call from the half but he needed to play with his eyes up more.

I noticed the same. Was a glaring opportunity that went begging. Give him some time and I’m sure he’ll be good.

Yeah I watched it on replay and it’s a shocking sin bin that. Penalty definitely but only thing I can surmise is that the ref thought he’d seen a punch (which there clearly wasn’t) or the crowd just got the better of him. Very harsh but still Fifita needs to be better even if he had a grievance with the tackle.

I DID see the Hood incident and IMO the sin-binning was totally justified...was a good couple of seconds late and I think he will do well to avoid a ban

what will be your time line to judge them PT?
I don't have a time line. Each game I expect them to give their best on that day. Sometimes that will be less than they've done before sometimes more but on that day, just try your best. It's up to Willie to then manage the team to make sure the right players are playing based on that.
To ask for a timescale before they've even started the season says a lot. They are learning and growing as a group. Just enjoy it.

just asking as it seems the way you posted you had, having watched the game its kind of suppressed my enthusiasm for the start of the season which I had high hopes for a better start this year but to lose to a team from a division below us irrespective of who plays isn't my choice of enjoyment, I used to love going to school at Crofton to have that smirky grin among the fev fans when we won
we have 4 tough games to the start, I've ordered my knee braces just in case
